Flightform were engaged by Pact Group for the construction of a new facility for a state-of-the-art PET recycling plant. This new infrastructure thoroughly decontaminates rPET flakes into material that can be used in the production of 100% recycled, food-contact approved packaging. This plant is one of its kind, recycling old consumer plastics into virgin quality granules. The project was financially supported by the New Zealand Government, the new plant will help NZ shift to a more sustainable and efficient circular economy where products are designed to have a long life.
Flightform provided a turnkey design and construct project which consisted of redeveloping 3000m2 of factory warehouse to accommodate the new plant. The construction scope included PIR panel wall structure, concrete pads and retaining, plumbing and drainage, new access points and general refurbishment.
